Private security services: eleven arrangements, one requirement, a post that's genuinely manned.

A festival, an idle warehouse, a company lobby and a municipal swimming pool call for different guards, different instructions and different team sizes. Each page below sets out the practical tasks, how we cost the job, and exactly what's written in black and white on the quote.

01 · Not sure which one?

Which service matches your situation?

The line between two services isn't always clear-cut. Here's how we draw the distinction in practice — and if you're between two, just tell us: working that out is our job.

It's a one-off, with a crowd

A dated event, a capacity limit, access points to hold: that's event security. If it's a private reception — a wedding, a birthday — the logic changes and the guard needs to stay in the background: see weddings and private receptions.

It's a site to protect over time

Warehouse, factory, construction site, vacant premises: that's manned guarding and site security. The question isn't "how many hours" but "when are you actually vulnerable".

The public comes and goes freely

Swimming pool, performance venue, library, gym, town hall: these are public-access buildings, with their own regulatory obligations and a front-of-house role that matters as much as security itself. A private fitness club has its own issues: see security for gyms.

You sell, and you're losing stock

That's shrinkage prevention. The issue is as much about protecting your sales staff as the shrinkage itself — and the legal framework for intervening is particularly strict.

You receive visitors every day

Building lobby, head office, residential complex: that's a role for front-desk security. The guard is on show: representing your image just as much as screening who comes in.

You're not sure which box to tick

That's common, and it's not a problem. Describe the situation in a few lines in the quote form: we'll tell you which setup fits, or whether two services need to be combined.
